What drew me to this specimen was the way the iron-colored deposits appear across the clear calcite.

Rather than looking randomly scattered, they seem to follow a particular direction, creating a sense of rhythm and structure.

It reminds me of an artist working with intention and constraint — knowing where to make a mark and, just as importantly, where to leave space.

Of course, nature has no artistic agenda. But sometimes, the result feels remarkably deliberate.

And that, to me, is what makes this piece so interesting.
