Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of beryl, best known for its cool, watery colour and association with calm, clarity and communication. Rather than polishing the entire specimen, the half-polished finish allows you to see two sides of the material at once: the character of the original stone alongside the colour and translucency revealed through polishing.

What I like about these pieces is the contrast.

When Aquamarine is completely polished, it is easy to focus only on colour and clarity. Leaving part of the original surface intact lets you see more of the stone's journey — what it looked like in its rough state and what was hidden inside.

That makes these pieces particularly satisfying for me as specimens: not completely raw, not completely refined, but somewhere between the two.

Aquamarine and Emerald belong to the same mineral family — beryl. Trace elements within the crystal structure are responsible for their very different colours.

Handle with care and avoid dropping or knocking the point against hard surfaces. Clean gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh household chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged exposure to strong heat.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
