Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz.

Its colour is linked to trace iron within the quartz combined with natural irradiation during its formation. The result can range from very pale lilac to deep violet, sometimes with visible colour zoning within a single crystal.

Those natural variations are part of what makes every piece of Amethyst slightly different.

Amethyst is a durable variety of quartz, but should still be protected from knocks and sudden temperature changes.

Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, which may cause the color to fade over time.
