Every Azurite Malachite point contains a different proportion and distribution of the two minerals. Some pieces show stronger areas of deep blue Azurite, while others are dominated by the greens and banding of Malachite.

Look closely at the individual photographs and choose according to the colour combination and pattern you prefer.

If Azurite is what particularly attracts you to this material, choose a piece with stronger visible blue areas. If you prefer the character of Malachite, look for more prominent green banding.

Azurite and Malachite are both copper carbonate minerals and are commonly found together in copper deposits.

Azurite is known for its deep blue colour, while Malachite forms in shades of green. Over time, Azurite can also alter into Malachite under certain geological conditions, which is one reason the two minerals are so closely associated.

Azurite Malachite should be handled with care.

Keep away from prolonged contact with water, acids, household cleaning products and abrasive surfaces. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Take particular care around the pointed tip, which may chip if dropped or knocked against a hard surface.

Because both Azurite and Malachite contain copper, avoid creating crystal-infused drinking water with this material and do not inhale dust from the stone.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
