A good piece should have movement — strong contrast, interesting banding and enough variation that your eye keeps travelling across the surface.

With generators, I also look at the overall proportion. The shape should feel balanced rather than simply being a block of stone cut into a point.

Malachite gets its distinctive green colour from copper.

Its banding forms as the mineral grows in layers, which is why polished pieces can reveal rings, waves and almost eye-like patterns.

Malachite is softer than quartz and should be handled with care.

Keep away from prolonged contact with water, acids, household cleaning products and abrasive surfaces. Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.

Avoid dropping or knocking the point against hard surfaces, particularly around the tip.

Do not use Malachite to prepare crystal-infused drinking water.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
