Choose by pattern.

Every Malachite point is different. Look at the individual photographs and notice which type of banding catches your eye — tighter lines, broader waves, circular markings or stronger contrasts between light and dark green.

The pieces are similar in height, so the pattern rather than the weight will probably make the biggest difference when choosing yours.

Keep your Malachite Point somewhere you see regularly — on a desk, bedside table, shelf or in your meditation space.

Its compact size also makes it easy to add to an existing crystal collection or create a small arrangement with other meaningful objects.

For those who work with traditional crystal properties, Malachite is commonly associated with transformation, protection, courage and emotional growth.

With these little Malachite points, I chose them for their patterns rather than size.

At this scale, you can really appreciate how much variation exists within one mineral — some pieces have dramatic bands and circles, while others have softer, flowing layers.

No two are quite the same, which is exactly what makes Malachite interesting to collect.

Malachite gets its rich green colour from copper.

As the mineral forms in layers, it creates the distinctive bands, rings and waves revealed when the material is cut and polished.

Malachite is softer than quartz and should be handled with care.

Keep away from prolonged contact with water, acids, household cleaning products and abrasive surfaces. Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.

Take particular care with the pointed tip, which may chip if dropped or knocked against a hard surface.

Do not use Malachite to prepare crystal-infused drinking water.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
