Pairs well with

A natural sculpture with more than one way to be appreciated.

This one-of-a-kind Brazilian Amethyst cluster brings together deep purple quartz crystals, contrasting white Calcite, and a distinctive rosette-like formation running diagonally across the specimen.

While it can be displayed upright on its stand, there's another way to appreciate its beauty.

Laid flat, the cluster reveals a beautiful bowl-like silhouette, transforming it into an elegant sculptural centerpiece. Its natural contours and crystalline interior create a composition that feels equally at home in a contemporary interior or a thoughtfully curated mineral collection.

A little Chinese tradition

In Chinese feng shui traditions, Amethyst geodes are sometimes displayed as wealth bowls (聚寶盆), with coins or symbolic objects placed inside to represent the gathering and preservation of prosperity.

Although this specimen is a natural cluster rather than a conventional hollow geode, its bowl-like shape offers a beautiful interpretation of that tradition.

Whether you choose to display it as a symbolic wealth bowl or simply appreciate it as a natural sculpture, this is a piece where geology, culture, and contemporary living meet.

Display stand included.

Amethyst Cluster is 22L x 15W cm, 35 cm in height with stand, weight 6.1kg

As a sculptural centerpiece: Display the cluster horizontally on a sturdy console or table to appreciate its natural bowl-like silhouette.

As a symbolic wealth bowl (聚寶盆): Draw inspiration from Chinese feng shui traditions by placing a few coins or lightweight symbolic objects within the natural cavity, taking care not to damage the crystal points.

On its display stand: Present the cluster upright to highlight the diagonal rosette formation and contrasting mineral textures.

As a collector's specimen: Appreciate the natural association of Amethyst and Calcite, and the distinctive crystal formations that make this piece unique.

Personally, I prefer this piece without the stand.

When laid flat, its natural bowl-like shape becomes much more apparent, and the contrast between the purple Amethyst, white Calcite, and diagonal rosette formation creates a beautiful composition.

It also reminds me of the Chinese tradition of the 聚寶盆, or wealth bowl. I appreciate how a single mineral specimen can be enjoyed both as a contemporary sculptural object and through the cultural symbolism we associate with it.

No promises of overnight fortune. Just a beautiful piece of nature with a meaningful story.

Amethyst and Calcite are chemically different minerals. Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz (SiO₂), while Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO₃).

They can occur together in mineral cavities, creating contrasting crystal textures and colors.

Rosette formations describe crystals arranged in a flower-like or radiating pattern. The term refers to their appearance rather than identifying a particular mineral species.

Amethyst is a durable variety of quartz, but should still be protected from knocks and sudden temperature changes.

Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, which may cause the color to fade over time.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
