Labradorite can appear quiet from one angle and suddenly reveal blue, green or golden colour from another. Each point has its own pattern and intensity of labradorescence.

Amethyst was my first crystal, but Labradorite was the one I carried most when I first started my crystal journey.

I kept a piece in my pocket for months. For me, Labradorite became a reminder to step back, look beyond whatever was happening right in front of me, and see the bigger picture.

Maybe that's why I still associate Labradorite with perspective as much as intuition.

The colourful flash seen in Labradorite is called labradorescence. It is an optical effect created as light interacts with microscopic layers within the feldspar mineral.

The colours aren't painted onto the surface — they come from the internal structure of the stone, which is why the flash changes as you move it.

Labradorite should be handled with care and protected from hard knocks, scratches and sudden temperature changes.

Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and prolonged soaking. Handle polished points and delicate carvings carefully to protect edges and surfaces.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
