Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene, Selenite is a must-have in your crystal collection.  This mineral belongs to the family of gypsum crystals and can be easily identified with it's milky, light reflecting surface just like a luminous moon.

Selenite is a wonderful talisman for women, bringing radiance and harmony, and support through all cycles of life.  Give Selenite to children who fear the dark and explain how moon rays are captured within and shine on them as they sleep.  They are also prized by crystal healers for purification and all types of energetic cleansing because of their pure vibration.

Selenite can be used to clean energy of another stone.  Simple put your crystal overnight on a selenite charging plate to recharge.
