This stone was named after the Achates river in Sicily by the Greek philosopher Theophrastus.  A protection stone, agate is believed in many different ancient civilizations could ward off evil eye and negative energies.  In ancient China, it is believed agate crystal as one of spiritual protection can also bring luck and prosperity.

Agate is usually found within volcanic rock.  It vibrates a low but gentle frequency and it’s healing properties are slow and steady like molten lava.

HOME & SPACE

Keep one in your pocket if you feel you need an extra protection, both physically and emotionally.  Place one under your children pillow to drive nightmares away.

Amethyst is a durable variety of quartz, but should still be protected from knocks and sudden temperature changes.

Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, which may cause the color to fade over time.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.

FAQs

Our crystals do not routinely come with independent laboratory certificates. We provide information on the material, reported origin and known treatments based on our sourcing records, examination and research.

For customers who require independent verification, testing can be arranged through a qualified external gemological laboratory where appropriate, at an additional cost.

We believe in transparent information rather than certificates that do not provide meaningful independent verification.

At OOAKSTONES, we carefully curate our collection and believe in transparent sourcing. Natural crystals may undergo treatments such as heating or dyeing, which we disclose when known. Please refer to each product's material and Known Treatment information for details.
