Pairs well with

A polished fluorite flame shaped to follow the natural movement and color of the stone.

Fluorite is traditionally associated with clarity, concentration and organized thinking — a favorite for desks, study spaces and anywhere you want a little less mental clutter.

What makes fluorite particularly beautiful is what happens when you give it light. Its bands of green, purple and translucent areas become much more visible, revealing layers and details that can easily be missed at first glance.

The flame form gives the piece a sense of movement while keeping enough polished surface to appreciate the natural color zoning within the stone.

Each piece is individually patterned and will vary naturally in color, transparency and internal details.

5cm tall

Each fluorite flame has its own distribution of green, purple, transparency and natural internal patterns.

Look at the individual photos and videos and choose the piece whose color and pattern you are naturally drawn to. With fluorite, it is also worth seeing the stone against the light — some of its best details only appear when light passes through it.

Keep it on a desk or in a study space as a small reminder to clear the noise and return your attention to what matters.

And give it light. Place it near natural light or occasionally hold a light behind it to reveal the color zoning, transparency and internal details within the fluorite.

Turn it around from time to time too. Fluorite can look surprisingly different depending on the angle and light.

One thing I always do with fluorite is hold it against the light.

From the surface you see the color. With light passing through, you start seeing the layers — different shades, bands, inclusions and areas of transparency.

These little flames are a good example of why fluorite deserves to be looked at from more than one angle.

Fluorite can form in an unusually wide range of colors, including green, purple, blue, yellow and even colorless varieties. More than one color can occur within the same crystal, creating the distinctive zoning often seen in polished fluorite.

Fluorite is relatively soft and should be handled with care. Avoid drops, knocks and contact with harder objects that may scratch the polished surface.

Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, which may affect the color of some fluorite over time.

Crystals should never be used to replace proper medical treatment or used in lieu of seeking professional medical help.  Crystals are should not be used for children under 3 years old or pet without supervision.
